COURSE STUDIES
In our humanities course, we will explore how people, communities, and cultures have documented and processed the human experience. Philosophy, literature, religion, art, music, history, and language provide us with artifacts that lead us to a deeper understanding of ourselves, others, and our world. Through the exploration of these artifacts, we develop empathy, compassion, and connectedness. While students will receive credit for two different courses, the humanities model integrates the study of literature and history into one class. The format of our course closely mirrors that of a college classroom, which “ is forged by mutual respect as teachers and students become co-learners dedicated to seeking wisdom together.”
