FAFSA/TASFA
Every Texas high school senior must complete either the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or the TASFA (Texas Application for State Financial Aid) to graduate, unless they opt out. These applications help determine how much financial aid you can receive for college, trade school, or career training.
- FAFSA is for U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-citizens.
- TASFA is for Texas residents who are not eligible to complete the FAFSA, including undocumented students and DACA recipients.
