Unweighted GPA Overview
Beginning with the Class of 2023, the District calculates an Unweighted GPA using a simple 4.0 scale. This GPA reflects semester grades without consideration of course rigor and is used alongside the Core Weighted GPA to provide a full picture of student performance.
Both the Core Weighted GPA and Unweighted GPA are visible in FOCUS and are included on the student’s official transcript.

Transfers from Other Districts
Students who transfer into the District will be placed on the GPA scale based on their enrollment grade level as recorded in FOCUS.
If a student’s grade classification changes, their GPA will be recalculated in the following semester and ranked with students in the updated grade level.
