Purpose & Goals

United Voices 4 Change (UV4C) is a district-wide student leadership initiative designed to amplify student voices and provide meaningful opportunities for students to contribute to campus and community change. The program’s goals are to empower students to raise their voices and be heard, develop leadership skills, build respect for diverse opinions, collaborate with peers to address school and community issues, and strengthen student capacity to lead positive change.

Planned Activities & Meeting Schedule

Students participating in UV4C may engage in leadership training to build communication, planning, and advocacy skills; campus and community collaboration to identify and address student concerns; respectful dialogue to ensure diverse voices are heard and valued; student-led projects that impact school culture; and district networking to connect with other UV4C chapters and share strategies and successes.

Support for Student Development

Through UV4C, students grow as leaders who practice responsibility, integrity, and teamwork; problem solvers who address real challenges with creativity; community builders who value inclusion and collaboration; and change agents who learn resilience while advocating for meaningful improvements.

Alignment with Mission, Motto, Vision, and Core Values (MMVC)

UV4C aligns with I.M. Terrell Academy’s MMVC by encouraging pride and engagement through leadership roles, promoting truth and integrity in student advocacy, strengthening resilience as students work through challenges to achieve change, and providing authentic opportunities for students to act as creative thinkers and innovative problem solvers. The club lives out the academy’s motto—“Uniquely DesignEd with Students in Mind”—by placing student voices at the center of its mission.

Compliance with Senate Bill 12

United Voices 4 Change complies fully with the requirements of Texas Senate Bill 12. The club does not engage in discussions or activities related to sexual orientation or gender identity. All participating students must submit a signed FWISD Parent Consent Form to ensure parental awareness and approval of their involvement.
