Purpose & Goals
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is a Career and Technology Student Organization (CTSO) that prepares students for success in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs. At I.M. Terrell Academy, FBLA helps students grow as critical thinkers and problem solvers, navigate 21st-century challenges with confidence, explore business principles and career pathways, develop leadership and communication skills, and engage in real-world applications of classroom learning.
Planned Activities & Meeting Schedule
FBLA members will participate in a variety of activities throughout the school year, including weekly meetings on Mondays after school in Room 1113, fundraisers to support chapter fees and reduce member dues, chapter elections to select club leadership, participation in the FBLA National Fall Leadership Conference, competitive events supported by FWISD’s CTE department, networking and leadership workshops, and college and career readiness programming.
Support for Student Development
FBLA supports student growth by helping members understand core business principles and their impact across industries, apply technical skills to solve real-world problems, gain feedback from business professionals through competitive events, build leadership abilities through interactive workshops and team projects, and prepare for careers in business, entrepreneurship, and beyond.
Alignment with Mission, Motto, Vision, and Core Values (MMVC)
FBLA aligns with I.M. Terrell Academy’s MMVC by fostering creative thinkers, visionary leaders, and innovative problem solvers. Through a uniquely designed educational experience, students develop transferable skills applicable across all sectors. FBLA empowers members to succeed in college, careers, and life, equipping them to shape the global landscape for generations to come.
