Purpose & Goals
The Carnations Club provides a safe and inclusive space for students to explore history—especially the stories and contributions of minority communities. The club’s goal is to educate and empower students by highlighting diverse historical figures, events, and cultural narratives throughout the school year.
Planned Activities & Meeting Schedule
Carnations Club meets weekly on Fridays during lunch in Room 1211. Activities include historical learning sessions, monthly craft or reflection activities, and student-led initiatives that evolve throughout the year based on member interests and input.

This club supports student growth by deepening historical awareness, encouraging self-expression, and fostering meaningful connections among peers. It offers a welcoming environment where students can learn, share, and build community through shared experiences and dialogue.

Compliance with Senate Bill 12
The Carnations Club complies fully with the requirements of Texas Senate Bill 12. The club does not engage in discussions or activities related to sexual orientation or gender identity. All participating students must submit a signed FWISD Parent Consent Form to ensure parental awareness and approval of their involvement.
