Book Club
Purpose & Goals
The Book Club at I.M. Terrell Academy is dedicated to promoting literature discussions and fostering a passion for reading. Members will encourage one another to explore a variety of literary genres and engage in meaningful conversations that spark a lifelong love of reading.
Planned Activities & Meeting Schedule
Meetings are held once or twice a month during lunch in Room 1209. Activities include group discussions, themed reading challenges, author spotlights, and collaborative projects that celebrate literary exploration.
Support for Student Development
Participation in Book Club supports student development by enhancing critical thinking, promoting literary engagement, and providing a welcoming space for social interaction built around shared reading experiences.

The Book Club aligns with the MMVC of I.M. Terrell Academy by promoting intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and thoughtful dialogue. Compliance with Senate Bill 12
Book Club complies fully with the requirements of Texas Senate Bill 12. The club does not engage in discussions or activities related to sexual orientation or gender identity. All participating students must submit a signed FWISD Parent Consent Form to ensure parental awareness and approval of their involvement.
