Purpose & Goals
The Board Game Club at I.M. Terrell Academy is dedicated to exploring the diverse world of board games, including their design, underlying theories, and the communities they foster. Members will engage in gameplay, learn the craft of game creation, develop skills in explaining concepts and rules, and discover how a simple box can open up a world of connection and creativity.
Planned Activities & Meeting Schedule
Board Game Club meets every Friday during lunch in Room 1215. Activities include genre exploration, game theory discussions, hands-on gameplay, and collaborative analysis of game mechanics and design.
Support for Student Development
Participation in Board Game Club promotes creativity, strategic thinking, and community building. Students will gain insight into game design and theory while forming meaningful connections through shared play and collaborative learning.

Compliance with Senate Bill 12
Board Games Club complies fully with the requirements of Texas Senate Bill 12. The club does not engage in discussions or activities related to sexual orientation or gender identity. All participating students must submit a signed FWISD Parent Consent Form to ensure parental awareness and approval of their involvement.
