Parent Consent & Senate Bill 12 Compliance 

In accordance with Texas Senate Bill 12, I.M. Terrell Academy is committed to upholding parental rights and transparency in student participation. As part of this legislation, annual parental consent is required for students to participate in any district- or campus-sponsored clubs and organizations. This includes academic teams, service groups, interest-based clubs, and extracurricular activities. Parents must actively provide consent each school year before their child can engage in these activities. The law ensures families are informed and empowered to make decisions about their child’s involvement in school-based programs. Consent forms are distributed through the district’s designated platform (Parent Portal) and must be completed to authorize participation. We encourage families to review club offerings and reach out with any questions to ensure a smooth and inclusive experience for all students.
