Frequently Asked Questions

The doors at I.M. Terrell Academy open at 7:45am. During this time, students are welcome to attend tutorials, eat breakfast, or prepare for their day prior to the 8:15am bell. 

Lunch is usually between 11:52am - 12:37pm. This is subject to change depending on a change in that day's bell schedule. If such change occurs, students and parents are notified. 

You may bring your student lunch, however, you may only bring it for your student. Only individuals listed in the student's Portal, may drop off food for them.

*Food delivery services are not allowed.  

Only 12th grade students have permission to leave campus for lunch. Students must return to school before their next class begins. A loss of off-campus privileges could occur if a student is tardy coming back from off-campus lunch.

• Student Driver's License
• Insurance Card with the student's name 
• Written note from the parent/guardian giving permission to drive to/from school
• Proof of paid parking fee (receipt)

Students may request a Verification of Enrollment in-person from Mr. Sanchez in the Counseling Office or by emailing roberto.sanchez@fwisd.org. 

VOEs must be requested at least 48 business hours in advance.

• The school/campus staff will review student grades at 3rd six weeks/ 6th six weeks and semester before issuing a VOE, if a student is not passing their courses through out the school year a VOE will not be issued.
• Campus staff will review all student absences.
• Both expectations need to be met for a VOE, no excessive absences, and student needs to have passing grades of a least 70% or above in all courses.
